The Alpine Way to re-open - AGAIN

Motorists are advised Alpine Way will reopen to traffic from 4pm on Monday 14 October after work to clear debris and slope stabilisation work was completed following the recent rock fall.

The 70 kilometre section of Alpine Way from two kilometres west of Thredbo and Khancoban will reopen from 4pm on Monday.

Motorists are advised alternating traffic conditions, temporary traffic lights and a reduced speed limit will remain in place while minor work including fence installation continues.

Wet weather may change work times and dates.

Roads and Maritime thanks the local community for their patience during temporary road openings and reminds them to take care in changed conditions during local events in coming weeks.

Motorists are advised to plan their journey, allow extra travel time and follow all signs.
